My name is Georg Herman Monrad-Krohn. I'm a professional contemporary artist and painter born and based in Oslo, Norway. 

My medium is oil paintings on linen or cotton canvas. My genre is the crossroads between the abstract and the figurative, often an abstract landscape. 

I find my inspiration everywhere, it's about nature and colors around me, encounters between nature and people, but most importantly the energy and the feeling of something bigger than myself. That's what I want to paint.

My passion lies in colors and the energy in and between bright light and dark colors, this is my great love and torment...!

In my paintings, I constantly work to create something that the old great masters painted, but in a modern costume in my own way. A sense of something old that is brand new.

My customers come from all over the world, but those who are in Oslo love visiting my art studio here. Here they can see my large paintings in progress to the smell of oil paint and turpentine over a coffee or a glass of wine. My CV on where and when I have held exhibitions is less interesting...
